Fidji joined Facebook in 2011. She has been a core driver of Facebook’s mobile monetization strategy and led the team in charge of developing ad formats for mobile. She has also made video a critical part of the Facebook experience, from rolling out videos that autoplay in News Feed, to building and launching Facebook Live and Watch. Fidji has been recognized by Fortune as part of their “40 under 40” annual ranking of the most influential young people in business. She was also #2 on Fast Company’s list of “Most Creative People in Business.” She was ranked 10th most influential French person in the world by Vanity Fair. Vice President of Hardware Design, Google
Ivy Ross is the Vice President of Design for the Hardware organization at Google. Over the past three years, she and her team have launched 30-plus products winning over 70-plus global design awards. This collection of hardware established a new Google design aesthetic that is tactile, colourful and bold. A winner of the National Endowment for the Arts grant, Ivy’s innovative metal work in jewellery is in the permanent collections of 12 international museums. Ivy has held executive positions at Calvin Klein, Coach, Gap and Mattel among others. Ninth on Fast Company’s list of the “100 Most Creative People in Business” 2019, Ivy believes the intersection of arts and science is where the most engaging and creative ideas are found.
NFL Offensive Lineman, Graduate in Medicine
His meteoric rise has been so remarkable that the Kansas City Star called him “the most interesting man in the NFL.” And for good reason: not only does Laurent Duvernay-Tardif play for the National Football League’s Kansas City Chiefs, he is also a graduate of the prestigious McGill University Faculty of Medicine with a Doctor of Medicine and Master of Surgery. In 2014, at age 23, Laurent became only the 10th Canadian — and first Quebecer since 2001 — to be drafted by an NFL team from a Canadian university. In his second season in Kansas City, the six-foot-five-inch, 330-pound player earned a starting position on the offensive line at right guard. Passionate about football, medicine and the arts, Laurent is also very involved in community outreach despite his gruelling schedule. In 2017, Laurent’s desire to give back to his community and to be engaged with children led him to co-create the LDT Foundation with his life partner, Florence Dubé-Moreau, and a team of young and enthusiastic professionals. Together, they develop innovative programs involving physical and artistic activities with the intention of inspiring the same passion for sports and arts in young people that they have.
